BOpS presents The Marriage of Figaro
BOpS is proud to present a production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, set in a modern day Andalusian tapas bar and complimented by a new English libretto, translated by our director Sara Hill. The comic opera depicts the tumultuous events of Susanna and Figaro’s wedding day. Don Almaviva (the tapas bar owner) tries to pursue one of his waiting staff, Susanna. Together, Figaro, Susanna and Doña Rosina (co-owner of the establishment with her husband) plot to expose his unfaithful actions. What ensues is a set of hilarious circumstances involving more of the restaurant staff and clientele. This reimagining of Mozart’s masterpiece will be full of talented singing, a wonderful orchestra, fun, flamenco and tapas! **Note - Gala Night is a Black Tie event!
