Music Theatre Bristol presents Into the Woods
"Once Upon A Time…."
After a year in the making and 5 months in rehearsals, this March sees the arrival of Music Theatre Bristol's largest and most spectacular show of the year at the newly-refurbished Winston Theatre: Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine's 'INTO THE WOODS'
For 5 Performances ONLY witness the magical stories of your favourite fairy-tale characters, from Jack to Little Red Ridinghood, Cinderella to Rapunzel, as they are entangled together and all venture Into The Woods to get their wishes. But what happens after ‘Happily Ever After’ and what consequences do we face once our wishes are granted?
Lapine’s hilariously comedic, dark and moving book twists the classic stories and includes a sexually charged wolf, bitchy stepsisters and a Prince with wandering eyes. Sondheim’s moving and witty lyrics are matched by a gorgeous and memorable score, featuring the well known titular song, brilliant ‘Giants in the Sky’ and stunning ‘Children Will Listen,’ all which will be brought to life by a live 15 piece orchestra.
