Dramsoc presents The Tempest
This January Bristol DramSoc brings to the Winston Theatre one of its most ambitious and exciting projects to date: William Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’. Directors Rosalind Russell and Lara Taylor present a dark and sinister interpretation of Shakespeare’s final masterpiece. Centred on Prospero’s unworldly tie to the dark arts, the extremes of good and evil are drawn from the characters as the ever-building storm brews overhead. Prospero lays in wait on a stark and eerie stage, haunted by cloaked spirits and anchored by a runic maze. With a choir accompanying a live band and original scores composed specifically for the piece, ‘The Tempest’ promises to be the epic dramatic spectacle of the year. As Dramsoc’s last Winston show before the theatre’s temporary closure, it is well and truly unmissable.
